Lisa Stobe

During her university teacher training program with Dr. Tom Puk, called OE3 – Outdoor Ecological and Experiential Education in Thunder Bay, Ontario in 2008/2009, Lisa encountered and experienced Ecological Macro Models: Interactive, community-building activities that represent complex systems that we are unable to perceive directly because of either their vast macro or micro boundaries. Since then she has worked as an outdoor guide and educator in Canada and Australia but she has never again encountered such profound environmental learning as she did during her OE3 program. She is now living with her young family in Bega, NSW and she is keen to share these macro models with other Environmental Educators and Activists, incorporate macro models into the public high school geography and environmental science curriculum in NSW, and to create a Lifelong Ecological Consciousness Community Learning Program in Bega, NSW through the support of the Climate Action Mobilisation Bega Valley group.
